SUMMARY:Vortrag: Neue Wohnungen ohne Neubau - Unsichtbaren Wohnraum in Gießen mobilisieren
DESCRIPTION:In Gießen fehlt bezahlbarer Wohnraum\, aber es gibt heute keine größeren geeigneten Bauflächen mehr und die fortgeführte Versiegelung vorhandener Grünflächen macht die Stadt anfälliger für Hitze und Starkregen. \nEinen Ausweg bietet die Mobilisierung versteckter Wohnraumreserven. In vielen Einfamilienhäusern steht die Hälfte der Zimmer leer\, während sich manche Bewohner*innen gleichzeitig Gesellschaft in ihrem Haus oder Unterstützung beim Umzug wünschen. In einem unterhaltsamen Vortrag zeigt Dr. Daniel Fuhrhop\, wie sich der „unsichtbare Wohnraum“ mobilisieren lässt\, als Mittel gegen Wohnraummangel\, Klimakrise und Einsamkeit. \n📅 08. Dezember\, Einlass ab 19 Uhr\, um 19:15 Uhr geht es los.\n📍 Netanya-Saal im Alten Schloss am Brandplatz\nDer Eintritt ist frei\, eine vorherige Anmeldung ist nicht notwendig. \nDer Vortrag ist Teil einer Klausurtagung unserer Fraktion Gigg+Volt\, in der es um die weitere wohnungspolitische Arbeit im Stadtparlament geht. Zum Vortrag mit anschließender Fragerunde ist auch die breite Öffentlichkeit herzlich willkommen! \nDr. Daniel Fuhrhop\, Wohnwendeökonom\, berät Kommunen zur Mobilisierung versteckter Wohnraumreserven. Er schrieb 2023 seine Dissertation „Der unsichtbare Wohnraum“. Er engagiert sich als Wirtschaftswissenschaftler bei den Scientists for Future und als Associate Member bei Homeshare International. Fuhrhop schrieb die Streitschrift „Verbietet das Bauen!“ und den Ratgeber „Einfach anders wohnen“. 2021 kandidierte er als Oberbürgermeister von Oldenburg und erreichte in der Stichwahl 46%. Er lebt seit 2022 in Potsdam.
