Kristine Bilkau liest aus ihrem preisgekrönten Roman erforderlich. \nEine Tochter\, Mitte 20\, kehrt nach einem Zusammenbruch in das Haus ihrer Mutter ans Wattenmeer zurück. Aus ein paar Tagen werden Wochen und Monate\, in denen immer wieder alte Konflikte aufbrechen und sich die beiden Frauen Schritt für Schritt neu kennenlernen und aufeinander einstellen müssen. Mit bemerkenswertem Feingefühl und einer ruhigen\, schnörkellosen Sprache spürt Kristine Bilkau in ihrem Roman großen Themen wie Liebe und Verlust nach. Sie zeichnet das Porträt einer Mutter-Tochter Beziehung\, die von der Suche nach dem richtigen Maß an Nähe und Distanz geprägt ist. Es geht um die drängenden Fragen unserer Zeit – um die Klimakrise und Verantwortung\, um Sinnkrise und Erwartungen an sich selbst und andere. \nKristine Bilkau (*1974 in Hamburg) studierte Geschichte und Amerikanistik in Hamburg und New Orleans. Nachdem ihr Debütroman Die Glücklichen großen Anklang in der literarischen Öffentlichkeit fand und vielfach ausgezeichnet wurde\, erhielt Halbinsel mit dem Preis der Leipziger Buchmesse 2025 eine der wichtigsten Auszeichnungen auf dem deutschen Buchmarkt. Die Autorin lebt mit ihrer Familie in Hamburg. \nIn Kooperation mit dem Institut für Germanistik der Justus Liebig-Universität Gießen und mit freundlicher Unterstützung der Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen.

Er nimmt uns mit auf eine Reise durch mehrere Jahrhunderte Gospelmusik. In 30 packenden Geschichten erzählt er von der Kehrtwende eines Sklavenhändlers\, die Amazing Grace hervorbrachte und Harriet Tubmans Freiheitskampf mit Go Down Moses\, von der rockenden Gitarrenheldin Rosetta Tharpe und Elvis‘ Liebe zum Gospel\, von legendären Konzertmomenten Mahalia Jacksons\, Aretha Franklins und Bob Marleys und von den inneren Kämpfen von Kirk Franklin und CeCe Winans in der Gegenwart. Er beleuchtet die kulturellen\, historischen und spirituellen Hintergründe der Gospelmusik\, die alle Grenzen überwindet und deren Kraft bis heute in der modernen Popmusik widerhallt – und 100.000 Mitglieder in 3000 Gospelchören in Deutschland begeistert. Emma Bombach (Gesang) und Elias Huff (Gitarre) begleiten die Lesung mit swingenden Interpretationen von Gospelklassikern. \nMatthias Huff (*1962 in Köln) ist Journalist und Autor. Er studierte Germanistik an der Freien Universität Berlin und promovierte 1993 über den österreichischen Expressionisten Albert Ehrenstein.
